In this video, I'm going to show you how I create Cliffhanger adventure stories.

I'm going to be totally transparent about every part of the process.

First, I'll show you the process, and then I'll explain how it works.

Table of Contents

I'm going to start off by generating an article and as it's generating, I'll explain the process.

The automation is now going to the spreadsheet, and it's looking at this title: "I couldn't find a walleye near a major center; here's a surprising spot that saved my trip." The article is being written in the voice of two nature lovers, Robert and Margaret. They're retired, in their 60s, and they're going on an adventure.

The article is written in two parts.

First, we have the Cliffhanger intro, then we have the Cliffhanger conclusion.

It writes a title and then it puts the Cliffhanger intro onto our Medium publication so that we can edit and publish it, and it also puts the Cliffhanger conclusion into our spreadsheet.

This is the draft of the article. This is the teaser summary, and over here we have the conclusion of the article already in our spreadsheet.

When I go to our publication and I look for the new stories, here's the beginning of the Cliffhanger story.

The Purpose of Cliffhanger Stories

It was a crisp autumn morning. Robert and I set our sights on Thunder Bay, so the location is determined by our sponsors.

The purpose of writing the Cliffhanger stories in two different parts is so that we can have the first part, the Cliffhanger intro, on our website, blog, and social media.

The second part is only found inside our free ebooks, where our sponsor lodges are featured. Our stories are going to build anticipation and then create a memorable story about each lodge that sponsors the stories.

But let's get back to the process of how this is done.

I'm going to go inside the prompt and show you how I'm instructing the artificial intelligence to write these articles.

You can see how the prompt is broken down into two pieces, where we're instructing the AI to write an 800-word Cliffhanger starter article.

Here's the story format: we introduce the characters, we build suspense, we give the turning point, we build tension, and then there's the hook that makes you want to read the next story.

Writing the Cliffhanger Conclusion

Then, I give the AI the instruction to read the intro article and write a satisfying conclusion.

This will follow the classic Cliffhanger conclusion where we have the resolution, the falling action, the climax, the conclusion, and the wrap-up, which will hint at future adventures from this couple.

Finally, we have the article put onto Medium along with our links and social media at the bottom, and we update everything in the spreadsheet so that we can track it all later.

Now, I'm going to go through and do a quick edit on this article so that I can demonstrate the second part of the automation.

Here are our protagonists, and they will write many different adventure stories for us.

This is going to be a walleye fishing picture story, so I'm going to get just the most basic stuff in here and have this article published so that I can show you the next part.

Publishing and Promoting the Article

I've already used this picture before on a different article, which is why I'd like to use unique pictures all the time.

Now we're ready to publish.

I'm going to change the preview image to our guys, and then we will have Walleye and fishing.

So now we'll publish this article.

Yay!

If we go to the website now, we can't find walleye near major cities.

There we are, our article has been published.

Now that the article has been published, it's time to do the second automation.

Social Media Automation

The second automation will take the draft articles and publish them onto social media. It'll read that draft article, summarize it, and publish it onto our social media.

So here we go.

Doing social media used to be a lot of work.

Now you can see that I've posted to Twitter. Let's go check that out. Here we are, can't find walleye near major cities. There is a link to our post.

Let's go back and check the automation.

It's already done LinkedIn, and it's done Reddit, and now it's working on Facebook, and that one's done.

So let's check those out.

Here is the post on LinkedIn.

Pretty good, but it doesn't include a picture, so I'll have to figure that out so that it does include a picture, but it's got a really great summary here. Beautiful, took a split second. Let's go check out Facebook.

And when I go onto Facebook, there we are, fantastic.

An absolutely amazing summary, look at that.

This is really beautiful.

Read the full story and boom, it brings everybody over to our fishing page on Medium. Super fantastic.

Building Anticipation for the Cliffhanger Stories

So what we're doing now is creating a whole series of these Cliffhanger articles where the first part is on the website and across social media, and the second part is only inside the fishing books.
