Hijack Viral YouTube Videos (Legally) and Get More Views!

The “Parasite” Method That’s Making YouTubers Rich

In this video, I'm breaking down my YouTube parasite blueprint and the exact seven-step system that I just learned. I'm going to apply it to grow my YouTube channel without relying on luck.

I’ll show you exactly how I'm using automation and artificial intelligence to find and model viral YouTube content. I hope to share this with hundreds of others who will be able to duplicate this and see amazing results.

Start with the right content, not just your own content (YouTube stats by author)

This is the same business model that I personally use to generate a consistent daily income system that you see here.

Shifting from Original Content to Proven Viral Topics

My business thrives on automation, and now I'm applying these principles to my YouTube channel. In the past, I treated content as something I needed to create and test as original ideas. But now, I understand that I should be covering all the topics that top YouTubers in my niche are already covering.

Recently, I watched a video by Dan Koe, where he explained that content creators should ensure that the main pieces of content in their niche are also under their brand.

This inspired me to develop a seven-step system to find and repurpose top-performing content so that I can claim my spot in my niche.

Here’s how I’ll be integrating these seven steps into my overall strategy moving forward:

Step 1: Prioritizing Virality in My Content Cycle

I've already built a content flywheel that transforms my YouTube videos into multiple content assets. Now, by refining my focus to include viral and evergreen content from YouTube, this will have a trickle-down effect on my entire content ecosystem.

Success leaves clues, so I'll be modeling the content of the best-performing YouTube creators while putting my unique spin on it. Once I've identified mid-tier channels in my niche that I want to follow and model, I’ll start researching their content.

Step 2: Reverse-Engineering Viral Success

I’ll visit these channels, go back to their oldest videos, and start scrolling forward. I’ll pay close attention to the videos that have the most views.

Step 3: Identifying Viral Topics Using AI and Data

I've already used artificial intelligence to research trending topics and find the top creators in these areas. Then, I go back to their oldest videos and track which ones have gained the most views.

However, I don’t just look at total views—I also consider "views per hour" to see which videos are still getting traction. The best way to track this data is by using VidIQ, which provides real-time metrics on ongoing video performance.

I've known about VidIQ for a long time, but after installing it and tracking views per hour, it completely changed my strategy. Now, I can see exactly which videos to model and "parasite" for my own content.

How I Use Automation to Extract and Repurpose Viral Content

Now, let me walk you through the whole process. I discovered this method from a new YouTube channel doing amazing work.

After watching his video, I realized I could enhance my existing automation to parasite viral YouTube videos more efficiently.

To demonstrate, I’ll start with Jano, a YouTuber whose channel has been exploding recently.

  1. I go to his video section.

  2. I scroll down to his oldest videos.

  3. I analyze which videos have the highest views per hour.

For example, some of Jono’s videos are still getting 11 times more traffic than others. I continue scrolling to identify videos with consistently strong engagement over time.

Here’s a video that was posted five months ago and is still getting 35 views per hour. This is an indicator that it’s an evergreen topic that I should model.

Step 4: Extracting and Repurposing the Best Content

Once I find a promising video, I collect:

  • The video URL

  • The title

  • The full transcript

Now, I feed this data into my automation tool.

  1. The automation grabs the transcript from my spreadsheet.

  2. It’s given to ChatGPT, which generates a summary of the content.

  3. That summary is sent to Perplexity AI to identify gaps and opportunities.

  4. The data returns to ChatGPT for a final refined article with improvements.

  5. A title is generated based on viral trends.

  6. An AI-generated image is created for the article.

  7. Everything is stored in Google Sheets and prepared for Medium or WordPress.

Step 5: Reviewing and Polishing the Content Before Publishing

After automation processes everything, I check:

  • The initial summary

  • The enhancement guide

  • The final article

  • The AI-generated image prompt

  • The suggested title

At this point, I review the draft carefully to ensure it’s high quality and aligns with my brand.

Step 6: Scaling Up with Multiple Content Sources

Now, I repeat this process across multiple channels. For example, on another channel called Tell Prompts, I:

  1. Scroll to the oldest videos using VidIQ.

  2. Look for videos still getting a good view-per-hour rate.

  3. Identify key topics, then extract titles, transcripts, and URLs.

Then, I run my automation to:

  • Summarize the content.

  • Find gaps and opportunities.

  • Rewrite it into a fresh, expanded tutorial.

  • Generate a click-worthy title.

All of this is stored in Google Sheets for easy access and refinement.

Step 7: Repurposing Content into Different Article Styles

Instead of just posting standard blog articles, I use another automation to transform the content into various article styles, such as:

  • "Do & Show" format

  • "Epiphany moment" storytelling

  • "Before & After Bridge" transformation

  • "Hero’s Journey" narrative

  • "Accidental Discovery" style

This maximizes the reach and impact of the content while maintaining originality.
